On July 7th, 2009, the Asian Aerospace International Expo and Congress of 2009, jointly organized by the Chinese Civil Aviation Administration, the Aviation Industry Corporation of China and the Shenyang Government, was held in the Shenyang Marriott Hotel. Over 100 foreign guests from 34 countries, 150 Chinese top executives and nearly 200 scientists and technicians from the Liaoning Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics attended the meeting.

Mr. Wang Wei, president of SYIAE, Mr. Wang Yongqian, vice Chairman of the Science and Technology Association of SYIAE, Mr. Ai Yanting, dean of the School of Aerodynamics and Energy Engineering, together with 30 other faculty members representing our university took part in the congress.
