On June 18th, 2009, Mr. Kpasaba Lazarus, the first secretary of the Nigerian Embassy in Beijing, visited SYIAE.
Immediately following Mr. Kpasaba Lazarus' arrival on campus, a meeting was organized between him and the Nigerian student body of SYAIE. After welcoming him warmly, the students put forward with a lot of enquiries to which Mr. Kpasaba Lazarus replied conscientiously. Later, Mr. Kpasaba Lazarus was invited to the International Students Apartment, where he observed the comfortable living conditions of the Nigerian students there.
Mr. Kpasaba Lazarus also had a cordial meeting with Mr. Wang Wei, president of SYIAE. During the meeting, each side showed deep appreciation for the other's work. Mr. Kpasaba Lazarus said: "The communication on education, especially by exchange of students, will definitely promote the friendship between the two nations."
The successful meeting seemed certain to herald increased future cooperation and understanding between the Nigerian Embassy and SYIAE.
