On April 13th, 2009, the SYIAE Sri Lankan student body celebrated the Sri Lankan New Year in China for the first time. A pleasant party was organized by the Sri Lankan students in the lobby of the International Students Apartment.
Mr. Richard Chen, director of the International Cooperation Department and all the office staff were invited to the occasion.
Mr. Richard Chen lit the candle for Sri Lanka students, which announced the start of the party. The students served their teachers with delicious national food of Sri Lanka, which was all cooked by themselves. Differences in culture and background seemed to fade away as the party got underway, and a memorable time was enjoyed by all.
SYAIE sincerely wishes the school's Sri Lankan students a fruitful and fulfilling time studying in China.
