On 17 September, 2007, the ceremony to present the Friendship Award and the Honorary Award for Foreign Experts was held at the Conference Hall of Liaoning Provincial People's Government.
A foreign teacher of SYIAE, Margaret Fisher from Australia, won the Friendship Award of Liaoning Province. On behalf of all the award recipients, she gave a sincere speech to express her thanks to Liaoning Provincial People's Government, SYIAE and all the people who had been working with her.
Since 2002, there have been 3 foreign teachers from SYIAE who has won the award. It is the highest award for foreigners in Liaoning province. After the ceremony, Margaret, her husband Peter and Christina who translated the speech were photographed with the Governor of Liaoning Province, Mr. Zhang Wenyue.
