In line with improving the quality of online/offline education at SAU, an online meeting was organized between the Administration and staff of IEC, and lecturers of international students on 29 September 2021.  

The dean of IEC, Ms. Pearl Liu, opened the meeting with a speech centered on how best the standard of education at IEC can be improved, and she welcomed feedback from the lecturers. She was followed by the Party Secretary, Prof. Wu Jingtai and the deputy dean of academic affairs, Mr. Qi Han.

Generally, the lecturers expressed their appreciation for the effort of the international students and they were also satisfied with international students’ lecture participation. They however acknowledged the current challenges being faced by the students, key of which include time difference and issues associated with internet connectivity.

The lecturers were urged to effectively manage student participation during lectures, offer encouragement, and try their best to maintain effective communication with their students.

It was decided that meetings of such nature will be frequently organized to ensure continued improvement of the standard of international students’ education.
