Chorus Competition Held to Commemorate 83rd Anniversary of “the December 9th Movement” and 40th Anniversary of Reform and Opening Up

On December 8, 2018, SAU held chorus competition final in stadium to commemorate 83rd anniversary of “the December 9th Movement” and 40th anniversary of reform and opening up. More than 3000 staff and students participated in the chorus including the leadership.

 

The chorus paid tribute to achievements made by Chinese people through 40-year reform and opening up, and praised patriotism. All chorus showed China’s unswerving resolution and confidence to enhance reform and opening up as well as passion of youth.

 

9 staff teams and 9 student teams entered into the final. The songs reflected that China’s reform and opening up has brought tremendous changes to people’s lives and robust economic growth.

 

The highlight was students from 78 countries who sang “Love China” and “Country” and express “one world, one dream”. International Education College team got the second prize and the best creative prize.

 

The first place of staff team was won by Safety Engineering College with their fantastic voice. Design and Art College team won the first prize of student team.
