As a basic requirement for professional engineering study, practice training is always given priority by SAU to improve students’ skill. The basic engineering training for freshman and sophomore classes concluded on 30 November, 2018. The basic usage method of primary engineering tools and machines was provided for students to develop their practice.

Basic CAD/CAM software, tooling, and machining were taught by experienced and professional academics and instructors as well as basic level of Engineering and Manufacturing software were introduced to the students so that students can focus more on their theoretical studies to develop their knowledge towards the modern engineering era. Some departments offered good and hardworking students the unique chances such as direct joining opportunity to some designing competitions and science exhibitions.
