Tanzanian Ambassador Mr. Mbelwa Kairuki Visits SAU

On December 1, 2018, SAU received Tanzanian Ambassador Mr. Mbelwa Kairuki and Commercial Counselor Lusekelo S. Gwassa.


Vice President Wang Qi met the guest and two parties held friendly talks on educational program, scientific collaboration and personnel training.

“It is a great honor to see the ambassador here because it heralds that the ambassador attaches great importance to youth development”, said Wang. He also added that SAU will collaborate with Tanzanian government and universities in the fields of IT, manufacturing and transportation.

 

Mr. Mbelwa Kairuki extended gratitude to Wang for his hospitality and suggestions. “Tanzania needs professionals and experts in manufacturing, engineering as well as telecommunication and SAU will become a base to train the personnel and conduct scientific exchange,” said the Ambassador. He also gave comments on “One Belt & One Road” Initiative and appreciated assistance and benefits that Chinese government has brought to Tanzania.


 

 

After the meeting, the Ambassador met Tanzanian students and attended the seminar organized by the students.

 

Currently, more than 140 Tanzanian students are studying in SAU now and the number is still increasing. Some graduates were employed in pillar industries and department in Tanzania.
